  1. The Fable: A Pedagogical Resource for Teaching of Values

    The aim of this paper is to argue the role of reading and analyzing the fables: a pedagogical resource in the teaching of values. In order to achieve this objective, the following topics related to the fable have been designed: characteristics, types, didactic values ​​and structure. On the other hand, students are currently immersed in the Informations and Communications Technologies (ICTs) looking for distraction, entertainment, hobby, etc., in order to satisfy their trivial, negative and vulgar needs. His preference is for internet browsing rather than opening the pages of a book and educating himself. It is evident that, in addition to the lack of information, communication, education, culture and reflection, the values ​​necessary for comprehensive education are being lost. Therefore, the readings and analysis of the fables as a didactic strategy constitute a pedagogical resource for the teaching of values, in a dynamic and fun way, allowing the story to act as a mediator during the teaching-learning process.

  2. The Singapore Math: Its scope for learning mathematics

    One of the great challenges in teaching mathematics lies in to implement strategies for learning it. This is a challenge for teachers today who, in most cases, do not detach themselves from the traditional educational model of teaching —the consequence of which is the presence of unmotivated students with difficulties in learning mathematics. For this reason, the purpose of this article is to analyze the scope of the Singapore Math for teaching mathematics, mentioning the dimensions, approaches, methodology and theories that support this method. This is based on the development of students' thinking to transform them into citizens capable of facing the demands of society with a creative and open attitude. It is also based on the Concrete, Pictorial, Abstract (CPA) approach. The main conclusion obtained is that the Singapore Math has positively increased the learning of mathematics, since it allows students to go from a manipulative phase to a drawing phase, and gradually reach an abstract level.

  3. Singing to live: a study of oral singing in adolescents

    Singing is a natural practice of the human being; From childhood to adolescence, the person experiences many physiological and anatomical changes; however, the change in voice means that many teenagers do not want to continue singing or think they cannot. For this reason, the objective of this article is to analyze the characteristics, pedagogical strategies and benefits of choral singing for adolescents. In this perspective, singing is approached, then its anatomy and physiology are briefly explained, then going into the description of the voice and choral singing in adolescents, didactics of singing and the respective benefits. After different review sources, which concludes, despite the various changes experienced, knowing and applying proper technique, help and properly develop speech, including the different choral singing provides benefits musically, academic, social, physical and personal development.

  4. Academic procrastination: theories, elements and models

    The objective of this research is to analyze the theories, elements and models of procrastination in the context of negative learning styles, low academic performance, lack of conflict resolution, improper decision-making, and postponement of implementation. of the activities; factors that weaken the educational process in various ways. In this sense, the analysis of the theories, elements and models of procrastination make it possible to understand and address the problems that it generates in students, the consequences of which are multidimensional.

  5. Academic performance: a very complex universe for pedagogical work

    This paper has the objective of analyzing the factors that affect the academic performance of students. Currently, recent studies show the problems related to this object of study; Among other problems, traditional methodology, socio-family factors, lack of motivation and self-motivation stand out. For this reason, this study emphasizes the definition of academic performance: a set of notes; Academic progress responds to different factors of a biological, psychological, economic and sociological nature. Therefore, academic performance is a basic, complex and multidimensional construct in the teaching-learning process, because it identifies the student's academic progress and makes a value judgment. In conclusion, the evaluations, the methodology, the factors and the teacher's role are directly associated with the student's academic progress.
