  1. Coping strategies and psychological well-being in secondary school students

The objective of the present study was to determine the relationship between coping strategies and psychological well-being in students at the secondary level of a particular institution in South Lima. Non-probabilistic sampling was used and the sample consisted of 216 adolescents, of both sexes whose ages range from 12 to 17 years. The design is non-experimental, crosssectional and correlational in scope. The adolescent coping scale (ACS) prepared by Erica Frydenberg and Ramón Lewis (1993) and Ryff's psychological well-being scale, developed by Carol Riff (1989), were used. The results obtained show that there is a correlation between the coping strategies: concentrate on solving the problem (chi=43.448a, p=.000), strive and succeed (chi=46.797a, p=.000), look at the positive (chi=46.797a, p=.000), seek spiritual support (chi=22.360a, p=.004), seek professional help (chi=22.360a, p=.004), worry (chi=26.931a, p=.000), lack of coping (chi=30.789a, p=.000), reduction of tension (chi=43.297a, p=.000), reserve for yourself (chi=26.614a, p=.001) and self-incrimination (chi=39.270a, p=.000).

  2. A study on emotional dependence and coping strategies in women victims of domestic violence

The objective of the present investigation was to determine the relationship between emotional dependence and coping strategies in women victims of the violence of their partner and inhabitants of the community of Huaycan, in Lima, Peru. The design of the research was non-experimental, cross-sectional and correlational in scope. The instruments used were the Emotional Dependency Questionnaire (CDE) created by Leary in 1997 and validated by Lemos and Londoño (2006), the Coping Strategies Inventory (CSI), prepared by Lazarus and Folkman in 1981, validated by Cano, Rodríguez and Gracia in 2007. The sample consisted of 90 women. It was found that emotional dependence is not related to coping strategies. However, a significant relationship was found between emotional dependence and the cognitive restructuring dimensions (rho -, 307 p <0.05), emotional expression (rho =, 270 p> 0.05) and desiderative thinking (rho =, 343 p <0.05). It is concluded that, the greater the emotional dependence of women, the lower the capacity to restructure or perceive that a problem is being experienced. On the other hand, it was found that the more emotionally dependent on women, the greater the emotional reactions and the difficulties in changing the thoughts that produce discomfort.

  3. Study habits and academic performance, in the area of mathematics of students of the 6th grade of primary school

This research addresses study habits and academic performance, in the area of mathematics, whose participating students were from Adventist educational institutions, assigned in the department of San Martín, with the purpose of determining if there is a significant relationship of the variables, whose Research presents the quantitative approach, whose design was non-experimental, correlational. The sample consisted of 71 students in the sixth grade of primary school. The Lickert type questionnaire was worked for the study habits variable. The results, for the second variable, the evaluation records were used, the correlation coefficient Rho Spearman was worked, in order to test the hypotheses. It is concluded that the relationship is not significant.

  4. Addiction to social networks and cyberbullying in adolescents

The objective of the study was to determine if there is a significant relationship between addiction to social networks and cyberbullying in adolescents who study at the Central Andean Adventist Educational Association. It follows the guidelines of a non-experimental, cross-sectional, correlational design. 326 adolescents from the secondary level of both sexes between 12 and 17 years of age participated in the study. For the measurement of the variables, they were used; the Social Media Addiction Questionnaire (ARS) constructed by Escurra and Salas (2014) and the European Cyberbullying Intervention Project Questionnaire (ECIPQ), both instruments are valid and reliable according to them. On the other hand, the data were processed, performing descriptive and correlation analyzes. It was found that addiction to social networks and cyberbullying are significantly related (r = .381 **, p = 0.00). That is, the participants who have a higher level of addiction to social networks in turn present higher indicators of developing cyberbullying.

  5. Program "Pukllaspa Ñawinchani" and its effectiviness to improve the reading comprehension of students of the 4th grade primary level

The aim of this research was determining the effectiviness of the Program “Pukllaspa Ñawinchani” to improve the reading comprehension of students of the 4th grade primary level from the E.I.P. Nº 38542/Mx-P. from San Rafael, Socos, Huamanga, Ayacucho, 2017. I have used the design pre-experimental, with a quantitative approach. The sample of this research was comprised of a total of 9 participants. The information collection was carried out through of an instrument “Guide of analysis of texts” (pretest – posttest), validated by experts and for statistical analysis. I used the program Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS), version 24.0 and Excel spreadsheet. The result actually achieved in the “T” test of student shown that there are significant differences (p<0,05), between the application of the program and the comprehension of reading, given that, the pretest, 55,6% of the students were on the start level, and the 44,4% in progress; however, this result changed after of the application of the Program “Pukllaspa Ñawinchani”, because in the post test the 22.2% it was in the progress level, the 77,8% in the reach level and none at the start level. What is a clear evidence of the instructive value of the program applied, on aspects of improvement of reading comprehension.

  6. Efficiency of the earthworm method in the removal of pollutants from domestic wastewater

The present study determined the efficiency of the earthworm (Lumbricus terrestris) and the Californian red earthworm (Eisenia foetida) in the treatment of wastewater from the Chachapoyas District. The adaptation of the two species was applied during a period of seven days, then they were inoculated to the worm-filter system made up of two wooden structures with four layers, and finally a continuous flow storage tank. To determine the removal efficiency of the species, the amount of concentration of the physicochemical and microbiological parameters of the wastewater that entered the treatment process was analyzed. Obtaining the results that the EF species reduced BOD5 by 92%, 86% COD, 78% NT, 84.4% turbidity, 93% pH and 84% in CT, unlike the LT species, which obtained a 91% reduction in BOD5. , 84% COD, 77% NT, 83% turbidity, 93% pH and 80% in CT. Concluding that the EF species is more efficient in the removal of pollutants from domestic wastewater with an average of 87% compared to the LT species that achieved 85% being acceptable by DS N ° 004-2017-MINAM.
